Here are a couple poor-quality videos of what Hurricane Ike looked like as it made its way through Cincinnati. Shortly after these were taken, we lost power and it was off for a couple of days. Mercifully, the hurricane brought in a cold front and also mercifully, our power was restored this morning. Now the clean-up, inside and out, and the less well-known effects of the hurricane winds (spoiled food, strange spills, etc.). We are thankful to report that we and our extended families are fine.

We've been out of power now for 49 hours (not that I'm counting or anything). My parents have power so we're hanging out here for now.
Lots of little tree limbs down, one big limb and one loose shingle are the only damage to the house. We got off lucky.
