Updates

Well, I'd generally do Monday Memories today but I think I'll save it for next week.  I did want to say that David's protein is still up (and he's still pretty puffy) so we're to call the nephrologist today and get further instructions.  Cherylyn is doing better.  She still has a long road back to recovery (y'all know what it's like when you get really really sick) but I think she has hope that she's going to be there eventually.  What else?  Oh, yeah, the twins shared their colds with me, so now we're all hacking and wheezing.  The decongestants don't seem to be working, but I'm glad that colds generally only last a couple of weeks.

EDIT:  We've heard from Nephrology and they want Dave on 18X the amount of steroid he's been on for the past couple of months.  Let the games begin.

I'm also grateful that my sweet Friend Husband is going to be home a couple of days this week.  School starts for him next week, so he has some meetings and such to attend but we'll enjoy having him home when we can get him.  He was home most of last week and we were able to fix the kitchen faucet (more or less), do some homeschool planning (that was me) and play with the children a lot.  Oh, and get a lot of doctors' appointments out of the way.  I was so grateful not to have to take the twins to the optomotrist on Thursday.  We also went to the Creation Museum on Monday, which Friend Husband just loved.  We didn't get to see the Planetarium, so I think we'll try to go back when he has his fall break in October.  Hopefully the crowds will be down by then too.  BTW, we have guest passes that we'd love to lend out if anyone is planning on going.  Have I mentioned that before?  Probably.  Anyway, just let me know.

It seems like there was something else that I wanted to say but I can't remember it and it looks like I need to go upstairs.  Oh!  I remembered it.  Has anyone seen the Perseids this year?  I went out in the middle of the night but didn't see much of anything.  Of course, it was a bit cloudy and since we live in the 'burbs, there was some light pollution, but I only saw one meteor before I went in.

Ok, that's really it now.  I hope y'all have a good week!

I planned to wake up the kids to try and watch the Perseids. I ended up on the phone for three hours right before. I totally forgot about it by the time I got off.
