Snow day, or the return of the White Death

I was all set to send Friend Gina a derisive e-mail about our alleged "white death" that was due in last night, when I noticed that it was snowing and snowing pretty well.  Most of the children whooped it up, got embedded in layers of clothing, and ran outside.  A picture of them is below.  Please note that the pretty blonde in the middle is not ours.  She spent the night with Abby and they were still up and going strong at 4:30 this morning.  I came in at 7:30 and moved Friend Dinah (the pretty blonde) to her sleeping bag on the couch, as she was half-dozing in a chair as David poked at her and talked to her.  Abby was out cold.

Friend Dinah stayed in the sleeping bag for about 15 minutes, then popped up and was ready to go.  Why is it that children are blessed with such energy?  I believe that only adults, specifically parents, should be so blessed.

Abby is still out cold.

Seriously dear I can't see your kids faces...almost made me think of the little guy in A Christmas Story. I wish we could play in our snow. I also wish I had a child's energy.
