Bed hopping

Now how's that for a thought-provoking title? It was the title I'd planned for Monday's post which, as you can plainly see, did not happen. But I did sleep in 3 separate beds early Monday morning, two with my very own Friend Husband, and one with the Super Twins. Here's the brief tale. We had to do the fruit & veggie co-op pickup on Monday. I had set the alarm for 5, but instead awoke at 3. It did not make me happy. After Friend Husband and I picked up the goods and drove them home, he was all for going back to bed. No argument here. So we went back to bed, but in Rachel's bed because she had crawled into ours when we crawled out of the house. Just after I had fallen asleep again, the twins got out of bed and began searching the house for us. When they did not find us in our bed, they began to run around the house, screaming bloody murder for us. I got up & got them back into bed, but they did not want to sleep. Naturally, I fell back asleep for some brief amount of time sufficient to ascertain that I would be brain dead when the twins woke me up 20 minutes later. Monday was not a swell day.

And now I've got to go wake up the Big Girls to take them to see Dr. Chad, our optometrist. Four new pairs of glasses. I don't think I'm looking much forward to today either.

Several nights ago, I couldn't sleep. I had a tickle in the back of my throat and was coughing. Rather than keep Ron up, I moved to the couch... David woke up and went to find me. Since I wasn't in bed, he sobbed, screamed and had a fit. I went to get him and soon the two of us were "sleeping" on the couch. Sleeping with a nearly 50 pound child on top of you should really officially be called sleep. It is more like laying still with your eyes closed wishing the night would end. Finally, David decided he was uncomfortable and went and climbed in bed with Ron.

So, last night at 3:27, David comes to my bed and tells me, "Move. I want to sleep with Daddy. Go on the couch."

Uh? No...

He went potty and went back to bed instead!
